WHITEWATER, Wis. - The UW-River Falls women's basketball team 69-52 at No. 4-ranked UW-Whitewater Saturday afternoon.
UWRF dips to 11-6 overall and 2-4 in the WIAC while the Warhawks remain undefeated.
In the first half, the Falcons were limited to 20 percent shooting from the field and 0-for-12 shooting from beyond the arc to trail 29-12 heading into the locker room.
Despite the Falcons' shooting stride coming alive in the second half, UWW maintained a lead for the rest of the contest. UWRF had its strongest offensive effort in the third quarter, scoring 24 points to trim the Warhawk lead to 53-40 heading into the final 10 minutes.
Macy Nilsen led the Falcons with 21 points, shooting 7-of-16 from the field.
Kameri Meredith led the way on the glass with eight rebounds.
UWRF hosts UW-Stout next Wednesday at Page Arena.
