RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls women's basketball team fell by a score of 75-65 Wednesday night at Page Arena.
The Falcons' overall record dips to 11-7 and 2-5 in the WIAC, while the Blue Devils matched UWRF's conference ledger at 2-5.
After a slow start being limited to 11 points in the first quarter, the Falcons outscored the Blue Devils 25-16 in the second frame off 52.9 percent shooting to claim a 36-35 halftime lead.Â
UWRF opened the second half with an
Averie Varsho triple to extend the lead to four points, but Stout shot 9-of-12 from the field in the third quarter with 22 points, taking back the lead four minutes into the second half and they didn't look back, leading for the rest of regulation.
Macy Nilsen led the Falcons with 13 points while
Julia Seidel and
Zoey Buchan each scored 10 points off the bench.
Kameri Meredith had a season-high eight rebounds.
The Falcons travel to face UW-Stevens Point on Saturday.
