ELMHURST, Ill. – The UW-River Falls volleyball team fell 3-0 against Illinois Wesleyan University, who received votes in the latest AVCA Division III national poll, in its first of three matches at the Elmhurst University Invitational.
The Falcons, now 8-13 overall, were held to a -.034 hitting percentage while falling by scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-17 against the Titans.
Cora Sayotovich had a double-double with 23 assists and 13 digs, while
Audrey Petersen led the Falcons with 15 digs.
Lauren Noth led the team with seven kills.
Despite being outmatched in several statistical categories, UWRF led 7-3 in service aces, including a pair by
Lauren Noth.
UWRF faces Albion College and Elmhurst tomorrow.
