RIVER FALLS, Wis. — The UW-River Falls women's basketball team is set to continue its non-conference slate to start the 2024-25 season, hosting North Central at Page Arena on Saturday, December 7.
The Falcons will be looking to bounce back, after coming up just short of a top-25 upset at #19 Hope College on Nov. 30. UWRF led at halftime and tied heading into the fourth quarter, but Hope College pulled away to win 72-53.
UW-River Falls went 1-1 last week, defeating Concordia College at home, 72-54. Zoey Buchan and Olivia Miron led the way with 15 points each, as Buchan tied a career high with five three-pointers made.

FALCON NOTES
- UW-River Falls and North Central have faced each other three times in women's basketball, with the Falcons holding a 2-1 advantage in the all-time series.
- Junior guard Zoey Buchan has led the way offensively for UWRF, averaging 12.1 points per game off 42.4% shooting from the field. She is also third on the team with 3.6 rebounds per game and second in assists. After back-to-back double-digit scoring efforts last week, Buchan earned Falcon of the Week honors.
- Olivia Miron has averaged 7.0 rebounds per game, which ranks sixth in the WIAC. Olivia Hoerl is right behind with 6.7 boards per game, ranking seventh in the conference.
