DUBUQUE, Iowa — The UW-River Falls women's basketball team is set to conclude the calendar year with two matchups at the 2024 Paxton Classic in Dubuque, Iowa on Dec. 29-30.
UWRF will face Loras and Dubuque on consecutive days, the last two non-conference matchups of the season before the Falcons embark into WIAC play.
UW-River Falls enters the tournament with a 6-3 record, after defeating Bethany Lutheran 77-65 on the road on Dec. 12. Four Falcons scored in double figures, led by Zoey Buchan with 15 points off 4-7 shooting from the field.

- UWRF's matchup against Loras will mark the first meeting of the schools in women's basketball. The Falcons have played Dubuque once in women's basketball, with the Spartans holding a 1-0 advantage in the all-time series.
- The Falcons have won four out of their last five games.
- Olivia Hoerl (12.0 ppg) and Zoey Buchan (11.9 ppg) have led the Falcons in scoring so far this season. The players rank seventh and eight in the WIAC in scoring.
