MANKATO, Minn. — The UW-River Falls women's basketball team will look to pick up its second straight victory, facing Bethany Lutheran on the road on Thursday, Dec. 12.
The Falcons enter the week with a 5-3 record, after an emphatic 74-31 victory over North Central at Page Arena on Dec. 7.
The matchup at Bethany Lutheran is UWRF's last standalone non-conference game, before closing out the calendar year at the Dubuque Classic and opening WIAC play in January.

FALCON NOTES
- UWRF holds a 3-0 all-time record against Bethany Lutheran in women's basketball. The teams last met on Dec. 14, 2023, when UWRF was victorious 71-39.
- The Falcons enter the week with momentum, after a historically good performance against North Central last weekend. UW-River allowed just 31 points, which is the least points allowed in a game by the program since the 2010-11 season. Similarly, the 43-point margin of victory was the largest since the 2022-23 season.
- UW-River Falls is holding its opponents to 35.9% from the field, which is the third best mark of any WIAC school. The Falcons have also allowed opponents to shoot just 25.7% from three-point range, which ranks first in the conference.
- Olivia Hoerl (12.3 ppg/7th) and Zoey Buchan (11.5 ppg/10th) both rank top-10 in the WIAC in scoring.
- Olivia Miron has been the team's top rebounder through eight games, averaging 7.0 boards per contest. Hoerl is just behind with 6.8 rebounds per game. Miron and Hoerl rank fifth and sixth in the WIAC in rebounding.
- The Falcons are getting to the line effectively, attempting 18.5 free-throws attempted per game. That ranks second in the WIAC, along with the team's average of 12.1 free-throws made per game.
