2024Â WIACÂ TOURNAMENT
- The Falcons finished the 2024 WIAC schedule with a 5-9 record and received the No. 6 seed for the WIAC Tournament.
- Since 1990, UW-River Falls holds an 8-19Â overall record in the WIAC Tournament, including a 7-11 mark during the quarterfinals/first round.Â
- Most recently, UWRF reached the second round during the 2021-22 season, including a double overtime victory in the first round at UW-Stevens Point.
- In 2016, UWRF reached the WIAC Tournament Championship, falling to UW-Oshkosh. The Falcons earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and defeated Wheaton College in the first round prior to dropping a second-round contest versus the University of St. Thomas.
FALCON NOTES
- UWRF closed out the regular season with a slim 72-71 loss against nationally ranked UW-Whitewater on Feb. 17 to finish sixth in the WIAC standings.
- During conference play, fifth-year senior Macy Nilsen finished among the league's top-three scorers with an average of 17.6 points per game. Nilsen eclipsed 1,000 career points as a Falcon this season and scored a career-high 32 points during the Feb. 7 win over UW-Eau Claire.
- UWRF shooting guards Julia Seidel and Zoey Buchan rank among the WIAC's top-six in three-point field goal percentage. Buchan leads the league with a 39.8 percentage while Seidel ranks sixth at 35.8 percent.
