UW-River Falls Baseball announces 2025 schedule

RIVER FALLS, Wis. – UW-River Falls baseball head coach Steve Bartlein announced the 2025 schedule today, Thursday, Jan. 2.

Bartlein, who became the 11th head coach in UWRF baseball history in August of 2024, is set to lead the Falcons as they return to the field after a 21-year absence. The program was reinstated after being suspended in 2002 and will round out the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) as the eighth conference member to sponsor baseball.

Head coach Steve Bartlein came to UWRF after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater since 2017. During his six seasons at UWW, the Warhawks were four-time WIAC Champions with four NCAA Regional appearances with an overall record of 176-52, including an NCAA Super Regional in 2022.

The 2025 UWRF baseball schedule opens with its spring break trip March 13-19 in Orlando, Fla., at the RussMatt Invitational. The Falcons then will face Bethel University at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn., on March 23 before a trip to face Division I University of Milwaukee on March 26.

"Our 2025 schedule consists of teams with rich baseball history, tradition, along with regional and national prominence," Bartlein commented. "We look forward to once again compete as UW-River Falls Falcons in NCAA Baseball."

UWRF will play its home games at First National Bank of River Falls Field, and the 2025 home and WIAC opener is set for Saturday, March 29 with a 1 p.m. doubleheader against UW-Stevens Point.
