RIVER FALLS, Wis. — The UW-River Falls Women's Basketball team is back in action this week, returning to Page Arena for home games against UW-La Crosse and No. 7 UW-Oshkosh. The Falcons will open the week with a 7 p.m. matchup at home against UW-La Crosse on Wednesday, January 22.
The Falcons are fresh off a 72-61 victory at UW-Platteville last Saturday, which improved the team's record to 10-6 overall and 2-3 in WIAC play. UWRF has won two out of its last three WIAC games.
Prior to this week's slate of games, the Falcons had played seven out of their last eight games on the road.

FALCON NOTES
- In UWRF's 72-61 win over UW-Platteville, the Falcons shot 26-28 at the free-throw line, the most made free-throws in a game by UWRF since the 2013-14 season.
- The Falcons and Eagles last met in January of the 2023-24 season, with UWRF coming away victorious by a score of 75-60 at Page Arena.
- Olivia Hoerl led UWRF in its last two games, scoring 18 points in both a win at UW-Platteville and loss against UW-Stevens Point. Hoerl leads the Falcons this year in both scoring (13.9 ppg) and rebounding (6.2 rpg).
- Zoey Buchan is just behind Hoerl in scoring with 13.1 points per game this year. She also averages 1.7 steals per game, which ranks fourth in the WIAC. Buchan has totaled three 20-point performance and 11 double-digit scoring efforts.
- UWRF ranks third in the WIAC in three-point field goal percentage (33.3%), three-pointers made per game (7.2), and opponent three-point field goal percentage (27.1%).
