EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The UW-River Falls Women's Basketball team is set to travel this week to face UW-Eau Claire in a road WIAC matchup.
The Falcons are coming off an emphatic victory at home against No. 4/No. 5 UW-Oshkosh last Saturday by a score of 64-59. The win improved UWRF's record on the season to 11-7 overall and 3-4 in WIAC play.

- In UWRF's win over #4/#5 UW-Oshkosh, the Falcons relied on a huge third quarter to flip the game in favor of UW-River Falls, and made timely shots and defensive holds down the stretch in the fourth quarter. UWRF was led by 17 points from Olivia Hoerl, as well as double-digit scoring efforts from Zoey Buchan (15) and Olivia Miron (11).
- Olivia Hoerl earned Female Falcon of the Week honors after averaging 16.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game last week, while shooting 45.5% from three-point range. Hoerl converted a career-best four three-pointers in the win over the Titans, while scoring eight of her 17 points in a tightly-contested fourth quarter. She has scored in double-figures in 16 out of 18 games played this season. Hoerl ranks sixth in the WIAC in points per game (14.1) and seventh in rebounds per game (6.2).
- The Falcons and Blugolds previously met this season at Page Arena on 1/11/25. UWRF was victorious by a score of 65-57, led by double-digit scoring efforts from Olivia Hoerl (18), Zoey Buchan (16) and Mari Ryberg (15).
- As a team, UW-River Falls is converting 7.2 three-pointers per game, which is second in the WIAC and just .1 off of UW-La Crosse.
