MENOMONIE, Wis. — The UW-River Falls Women's Basketball team is set to hit the road to face No. 19 UW-Stout on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
The Falcons enter the week with a record of 8-4 and having won six out of their last eight games. Most recently, UWRF fell on the road to No. 5 UW-Whitewater in the team's WIAC opener — UW-River Falls led by as much as 18 points in the first half, but was unable to hold on to complete the top-five upset.
UWRF's matchup at UW-Stout will conclude a stretch of five consecutive road matchups.

- UW-River Falls concluded its non-conference slate and the 2024 calendar year at the Paxton Classic, where the Falcons went 2-0 with wins against Loras and Dubuque. Zoey Buchan and Olivia Hoerl were named to the all-tournament team at the conclusion of the competition.
- Zoey Buchan (13.3 ppg) and Olivia Hoerl (12.8 ppg) have led UWRF's scoring efforts so far this season. Hoerl is also the team's top rebounder with 6.8 boards per game, while Buchan has led the Falcons with 1.7 steals per game — Buchan ranks fourth in the WIAC in steals per game.
- So far this season UWRF has shot 33.6% from three-point range, which ranks third in the WIAC and 38th in Division III women's basketball. The Falcons average 7.8 three-pointers made per game, which is top in the WIAC and 34th in Division III women's hoops.
- The Falcons average 14.3 turnover per game, which is the second best mark in the conference and ranks 44th in the country.
