FALCON NOTES
- Despite dropping out of the top 15 in the national rankings, the Falcons received votes in the latest USCHO and DIII Hockey News national polls.
- The Falcons opened the new year over the weekend with an overtime loss against Augsburg before a 4-3 road win at UW-Stout.
- Against the Blue Devils on Saturday, the Falcons were down 3-2 heading into the third period before rallying with a pair of third period goals to earn the win and taking the season series over Stout. Alex Atwill led the Falcons with two goals, and was named the Kline Nissan Male Falcon of the Week.
- Forwards Dylan Smith and Jonny Meiers share the team's scoring lead with 13 points each. Smith is on a four-game point streak and his eight goals is tied for second-most in the WIAC.
- UWRF's scoring depth has made a difference, with seven Falcons totaling at least three goals and five with at least four this season.
- Goaltender Brennan Boynton, who has started in every game this season, is the WIAC leader with a .927 save percentage, a 2.05 goals against average, and 26.4 saves per game. He is a two-time WIAC Player of the Week.
