STEVENS POINT, Wis. — In a defensive showdown on the road, the UW-River Falls women's soccer team held UW-Stevens Point scoreless through 90 minutes, finishing in a 0-0 draw Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons (9-4-2, 1-2-1 WIAC) outshot the Pointers 16-13 but were unable to find the back of the net in a tightly contested conference matchup. The Falcons controlled much of the possession, generating consistent pressure throughout both halves with a 7-6 edge in shots on goal and an even 3-3 split in corner kicks.
Freshman goalkeeper Courtney Bain finished with six saves in the full 90 minutes of action. Bain turned away multiple second-half attempts from the Pointers to preserve the clean sheet.
Falcon Highlights
UW-River Falls will head to Menomonie next week to compete against the Blue Devils. The Falcons will look to carry momentum into the final stretch of WIAC play.
