MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The UW-River Falls volleyball team swept Millsaps College on Saturday morning to go 3-0 on the weekend at the Rhodes College Invite.
UWRF earned its third win in a row and third consecutive sweep after defeating St. Mary's College and Rhodes 3-0 yesterday, improving to 13-14 overall on the season.
The Falcons controlled the match from start to finish, hitting .179 as a team while limiting the Majors to a .097 attack percentage. Junior Blessing Adebisi paced the Falcons' offense with 12 kills, while Kelsey Klesner added eight kills and a team-high four service aces. Reese Bauman was efficient at the net, finishing with six kills and two aces on a .294 hitting percentage.
Cora Sayotovich directed the offense with 18 assists, and Audrey Petersen anchored the back row with a match-high 26 digs. Emily Brenner contributed on both ends with four kills and three digs, while Lauren Noth tallied six kills and eight digs.
The Falcons found their rhythm as the match progressed, improving their hitting percentage each set from .109 in the first to .227 in the third to complete the sweep.
UWRF heads back into WIAC play next Wednesday, Oct. 29, hosting UW-Stout at Page Arena.
