RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls women's soccer team capped its non-conference schedule with an offensive showcase Tuesday night at Ramer Soccer Stadium, defeating Bethany Lutheran 8-0. The win marked the Falcons' largest scoring output since their 11-0 victory over Minnesota Morris in 2023.
UWRF (12-4-2, 3-2-1 WIAC) struck early and never looked back, scoring four goals in each half while outshooting the Vikings 32-7. Seven different Falcons recorded a goal in the win for River Falls.
Senior defender
Macy Zins opened the scoring in the 2nd minute off an assist from
Lauren Best, who later added a goal of her own in the 26th minute to make it 3-0.
Sarah Wagner notched a brace with goals in the 16th and 55th minutes, while
Brooke McDaniel,
Emery Bigler,
Lexi Moen, and
Mariah Martin each found the back of the net.
UWRF's passing attack shined, tallying six assists, two from
Lauren Gregory, as the Falcons controlled possession throughout. Goalkeeper
Kiera Nelson earned the shutout with three saves in 90 minutes of play, marking the Falcons' eighth clean sheet of the season.
The Falcons wrap up conference play this weekend with their final game of season against UW-Oshkosh on Saturday, Nov. 2.
