THE SERIES
- Friday's game will mark the 166th all-time meeting between UW-River Falls and UW-Stevens Point, with the Pointers holding a 79-73-19 series advantage.
- Last season, the Falcons won the season series, winning two of three games.Â
- Saturday's game marks the first ever meeting between UW-River Falls and Beloit College as the Buccaneers are competing in their inaugural season as a men's hockey varsity program.
FALCON NOTES
- The Falcons are coming off a weekend split at Hunt Arena, falling 4-2 against Saint John's University on Friday before winning 2-1 over Concordia College.
- Â Against the Johnnies and Cobbers, UWRF went 2-for-4 on the power play, and were led by Keenan Ingram's two goals, including Saturday's game-winner over Concordia.
- Brennan Boynton started both games in net and made 62 saves with a .939 save percentage.
- Through six games this season, the Falcons lead the WIAC and rank eighth in NCAA Division III with a 31.3% power play success rate, scoring five goals on 16Â chances.
- UWRF has been led so far this season by the standout freshmen line of Keenan Ingram, Ben Portner, and Gavin Middendorf. They are the top three scorers in the WIAC, while Ingram is tied for the national lead in scoring with 12 points off seven goals and five assists, maintaining a six-game point streak including a pair of power play goals, two game-winners, and a hat trick during his debut against Lawrence University on Oct. 31.
- Additionally, freshman defender Luke Margenau ranks second on the team with five assists and is the WIAC leader with 19 blocked shots.
