The No. 1-ranked UW-River Falls women's hockey team returns to action this weekend with its first games of the 2026 calendar year, hosting a two-game nonconference series against Concordia College at Hunt Arena.

THE SERIES

• This weekend's games mark the 26-27th all-time meetings between UW-River Falls and Concordia, with the Falcons currently riding a 17-game win streak in the series.
• Last season, the Falcons swept the Cobbers with 7-1 and 4-1 victories in Moorhead, Minn.

FALCON NOTES

• The Falcons are No. 1 by USCHO and DIII Hockey News in the national women's hockey polls.
• UWRF closed out the 2025 calendar year with its fourth win over a ranked opponent this season, shutting out No. 6-ranked St. Norbert College 4-0 on Dec. 13 at Hunt Arena.
  • Megan Goodreau scored twice and MaKenna Aure had two points to currently sit at 99 points in her career. In net, Jordan O'Kane made 23 saves to earn her third shutout of the season.
• The Falcons have scored on the power play in five consecutive games with a total of seven since Nov. 25, leading the country with a 38.5% power play success rate, led by Megan Goodreau's six power play goals which also leads the nation.
  • Goodreau is the national leader with 2.1 points per game, ranking second with a total of 21 points off 11 goals and 10 assists.
• Aside from the top power play in the country, UWRF ranks sixth with 4.0 goals per game, third with 1.0 goals against per game, and also in the top five with four shutouts and a +3.0 scoring margin.
• Senior goaltender Jordan O'Kane has started in nine of 10 games this season, and has allowed no more than one goal per game in her last four appearances.
