The UW-River Falls men's hockey team will close out the 2025 calendar year this weekend with a WIAC weekend series against UW-Stout, hosting the Blue Devils on Friday before traveling to Menomonie on Saturday.

THE SERIES
- This weekend's games will mark the 135-136th all-time meetings between the Falcons and Blue Devils, with UWRFÂ holding a 95-34-5 series advantage.
- Last season, all three regular season contests were one-goal games between the Falcons and Blue Devils, including two overtime results, with the Falcons winning two of three. UWRF then swept UW-Stout in the first round of the WIAC Tournament, defeating the Blue Devils by scores of 4-1 and 4-0 at Hunt Arena to advance to the semifinals.
FALCON NOTES
- After opening the 2025-26 WIAC schedule with losses against UW-Stevens Point and Beloit College, the Falcons bounced back this past weekend with a 4-3 road win at UW-Superior and a 5-2 win at home over UW-Eau Claire.
- Against the Yellowjackets and Blugolds, freshman defender Luke Margenau led the Falcons with four points, totaling two assists along with his first two goals as a Falcon. He also blocked nine shots, and is the WIAC leader this season with a total of 32 through 10 games. Cole Teleki ranks second with 20 blocked shots.
- Senior goaltender Brennan Boynton made 70 saves with a .933 percentage on the weekend, including a career-high 43 saves against UW-Eau Claire on Saturday. He leads the WIAC with a .924 save percentage and 28.1 saves per game.
- In the WIAC, the Falcons are the league leaders and rank third in NCAA Division III with a 34.5% power play success rate, which included three power play goals scored last Friday at UW-Superior.Â
- UWRF leads the WIAC with 8.3 points per game, led by the league's top three scorers in the standout Falcon freshmen trio of Keenan Ingram, Ben Portner, and Gavin Middendorf.
- Keenan Ingram is the WIAC's leading scorer with 15 points off 10 goals and five assists and is the nation's leading goal scorer.
- Alex Atwill and Gavin Middendorf share the WIAC-lead with eight assists each, and Max Collette leads the league with 132 faceoff wins along with a .589 win percentage.
