SENIOR NIGHT
AGAINST THE LUMBERJACKS
- Tonight marks the 24th all-time meeting between UW-River Falls and Northland, with the Falcons leading the series 19-4.
- The Falcons defeated the Lumberjacks previously this season on Nov. 23 in Ashland, Wis., winning 4-1. UWRF scored a pair of power play goals with four different goal scorers; Burke Simpson, Alex Atwill, Max Collette, and Reid Lune. Brennan Boynton made 24 saves in net.
FALCON NOTES
- This past weekend, the Falcons split a WIAC series against UW-Eau Claire, winning 3-2 in overtime on Friday before falling 7-5 on Saturday.
- Through two games, Jonny Meiers had two goals and two assists while Reid Lune had a goal and three assists, including the overtime game-winner on Friday.
- Eight WIAC players have scored double-digit goals this season, including UWRF's Dylan Smith and Jonny Meiers, who have 10 goals each, tied for sixth most in the league. The pair also ranks sixth and seventh in the WIAC with 23 and 22 points, respectively.
- Cole Teleki is the top scoring defenseman in the WIAC with 15 points off six goals and nine assists. Against the Blugolds over the weekend, he tallied nine blocked shots and leads the WIAC with 51 total on the season.
- Brennan Boynton has started all 23 games in goal and ranks third in the WIAC with a 2.71 goals against average and a .906 save percentage. His 24.8 saves per game is second most.
