MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) announced its 2024-25 men's basketball postseason awards today, with Zac Johnson leading the way with First Team honors.
In addition, Jack Leifker earned Honorable Mention All-WIAC and Mason Anderson was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
For Johnson, this year's accolades marked the second straight season he has been named All-WIAC First Team. Johnson led UWRF with 16.3 points per game, which ranked fourth among all WIAC players this season. Alongside his proficient scoring, Johnson managed to do so while shooting 41.6% from the field. He also averaged 4.1 rebounds and a team-high 2.5 assists per game. Johnson scored in double-figures in 23 games this season and tallied six games in which he scored at least 20 points.
Leifker's Honorable Mention marked the second straight season that he has been included in the All-WIAC honors. This season, the junior led UW-River Falls with 5.3 rebounds per game, ranking 10th among all WIAC players. He was also second on the team and 12th in the conference with 12.4 points per game. Leifker shot 50.4% from the field this season and totaled five 20-point performances.
Anderson's selection to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team is the second of his career. He played in 22 games this year and started in five, finishing third on the team with 18 three-pointers made and a 41.9% shooting percentage from beyond the arc.
