The UW-River Falls baseball team is set to conclude the 2025 regular season this weekend, traveling to face UW-Eau Claire for a four-game WIAC series May 2-3.

FALCON NOTES
- UWRF is coming off six games last week, falling to UW-Stout in a mid-week matchup on the road before coming up short against No. 10-ranked UW-La Crosse over the weekend.
- Freshman infielder John Santelman stood out for the Falcons, starting in all six games and batting .348 with hits in each game. He totaled eight hits in 23 at bats, including five runs scored, four runs batted in, and his first career home run. In addition, he put together a 1.000% fielding percentage, tallying 17 assists and eight putouts. For his performance, he was named the Kline Nissan Male Falcon of the Week.
- As a team, UWRF ranks fourth in the WIAC with a .297Â batting average and third with 75Â doubles and nine triples.
- Individually, Kale Twombly and Max Krebs rank among the WIAC's top 10 leaders in several offensive categories.
- Twombly's .373 batting average leads the team and ranks ninth in the WIAC.
- Krebs is tied for fourth in the league with 12 doubles and tied for sixth with eight home runs.
- Cade Bruett leads the UWRF pitching staff with 34.1 innings pitched, having started in all eight of his appearances.Â
- Bruett and Shaun Gavin are tied for the team lead with 19 strikeouts each.
