Krebs & Paulsen recognized on All-WIAC Baseball Team

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) announced its 2025 Baseball postseason awards on March 14 with a pair of Falcons represented in Max Krebs and Kole Paulsen.

Krebs was selected as an Honorable Mention and Paulsen was tabbed to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Sophomore infielder Max Krebs appeared in the most games by a Falcon this season, missing just one game as he started in 39 of UWRF's 40 games. He led the Falcons and finished the regular season ranking among the top-15 in the WIAC with a .606 slugging percentage, 12 doubles, and eight home runs. In 142 at bats, he collected 48 hits and led the team with 36 runs batted in. Defensively, Krebs made all of his starts in the field at second base and led UWRF with 96 assists (6th/WIAC) while fielding 24 doubles played (T-3rd/WIAC).

Junior catcher/pitcher Kole Paulsen played in 27 games this season, starting in 23 while pitching 15.1 innings with a 4.70 earned run average. In 74 at bats, Paulsen totaled 20 hits with two doubles, 10 RBI, and one homer. Behind the plate, he threw out four baserunners and had 82 putouts.

The 2025 Falcons, who returned to the diamond this season for the first time since 2002, turned in a 13-27 overall record. Season highlights included a 14-3 win over Nebraska Wesleyan University during its season opener, taking three of four games for a series victory over UW-Stevens Point, and wins over regionally ranked opponents Bethel University and UW-Oshkosh.
