RIVER FALLS, Wis. — Swinging Bridge Brewing Company, in partnership with UW-River Falls Athletics, has introduced the
Falcon Red and the
Falcon Flight Light, the first officially licensed and co-branded UWRF craft beers celebrating Falcon spirit.
The
Falcon Red will debut on tap starting Wednesday, Aug. 20 at Swinging Bridge Brewery, located in historic downtown River Falls.
"We are excited to partner with Swinging Bridge to introduce the first official craft beers of Falcon Athletics," said UWRF Athletics Director
Crystal Lanning. "Swinging Bridge is a tremendous supporter of UWRF and the River Falls Community. This is a great opportunity to expand our relationship with a local business and enhance the Falcon brand."
Swinging Bridge will also debut Falcon Flight Light Lager at the Official Falcon Craft Beer Launch Party on Friday, Sept. 5 from 4-7 p.m. Guests can enjoy both Falcon Red and Falcon Flight Light on tap, along with giveaways hosted by the UWRF Athletic Department and Swinging Bridge.
Financial proceeds from the sale of both Falcon Red and Falcon Flight Light will support UWRF Athletics.
"We are extremely excited to be launching two officially licensed Falcon craft beers this season," Cory Hart, the manager of Swinging Bridge Brewing Company commented. "Bridging a relationship between downtown and the University is something we value immensely. We want to continue our support of the athletic program by donating a portion of sales from every pint and crowler of Falcon Red and Falcon Flight to UWRF Athletics."
