No. 12 Falcons to travel to Belhaven for first road test of 2025

The No. 12-ranked UWRF football team hits the road to face Belhaven University this Saturday for the first road matchup of the 2025 season.

  • Saturday's game will mark the first ever meeting between UW-River Falls and Belhaven.
IN THE RANKINGS
  • UWRF improved from No. 13 to No. 12 in this week's D3football.com top 25 national poll, and moved up to No. 13 in the AFCA Coaches' Poll.
  • The Falcons were tabbed to finish third in the 2025 WIAC Preseason Poll. UW-La Crosse is predicted to claim the conference title. The Eagles made their fourth consecutive NCAA appearance a year ago and enter this season ranked No. 10 by the AFCA.
LAST TIME OUT
  • UWRF is coming off a 59-47 win over Coe College last Saturday, Sept. 13, prevailing in the offensive shootout in which the Falcons and Kohawks combined for nearly 1,400 yards of total offense, including 733 from the Falcons and 569 from Kaleb Blaha alone - a new UWRF program record and third all-time in the WIAC, breaking his previously set record of 556 at Ohio Wesleyan in 2023. 
    • Blaha went 30-for-38 through the air for 335 yards and added 234 on the ground to break his own school record for total offense. 
    • Trevor Asher and Blake Rohrer followed with career days, featuring a career-high 144 rushing yards for Asher and six catches for 110 yards for Rohrer.
FALCON NOTES
  • Through two games, UWRF owns the top offense in NCAA Division III with an average of 647 yards of total offense per game with 66 total first downs.
    • UWRF's 52 points per game is tied for fifth and the passing offense ranks seventh with 391 passing yards per game.
  • For his performance versus Coe, Kaleb Blaha was selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week for the fifth time in his career. He was also named the WIAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row, and the sixth time in his career.
    • Blaha is the nation's leader with an average of 526.5 yards of total offense per game and ranks second with 66 points responsible for. He also ranks fifth with a total of 778 passing yards.
