WHITEWATER, Wis. – The UW-River Falls volleyball team earned a pair of wins on Saturday at the UW-Whitewater Invite, defeating Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 3-1 and Illinois College 3-0.
The Falcons improve to 9-9 overall, and return to WIAC play next Friday, Oct. 3, hosting nationally ranked UW-Oshkosh at Page Arena.

UW-River Falls 3, Rose-Hulman 1
After dropping a tightly contested first set 25-27, the Falcons bounced back by taking the next three sets for the win, 25-18, 25-21, 25-22.
Leading the offensive charge was Ava Goldsberry, who tied her career-high with 20 kills along with 19 digs, while Blessing Adebisi delivered a dominant performance with 17 kills and a .471 hitting percentage. Ellie Mascotti set up the attack with a season-high 25 assists, and Audrey Petersen anchored the defense match-high 29 digs.
The Falcons out-hit the Engineers .211 to .155, and notched 11 blocks and eight services aces, including three aces from Kira Klesner and seven blocks from Adebisi.

During UWRF's second match of the day and third of the weekend, the Falcons compiled a season-best .273 hitting percentage and won in straight sets 25-13, 25-14, and 25-21 to sweep the Lady Blues.
Ava Goldsberry continued her strong play with 15 kills and a .314 hitting percentage, while Blessing Adebisi added 10 kills and hit .333. Emily Brenner was a force from the service line, delivering six aces and contributing 11 total points.
UWRF was strong offensively with its season-high .273 hitting rate, totaling 38 kills on just 11 errors while limiting Illinois College to a .085 hitting percentage and forcing 19 errors.
