GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released its 2025 Football Academic All-America® Teams on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, with UW-River Falls' Justin Scheberl selected to the Division III Second Team.

The Academic All-America Teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Scheberl was one of just six special teams players nationwide (and one of only two kickers) selected to the NCAA Division III Academic All-America Team. He becomes the fifth Falcon in UWRF Football history to earn Academic All-American honors, joining former teammate Aaron Borgerding and marking the first time in program history that UWRF has landed Academic All-Americans in back-to-back seasons.

A Biology major with a 3.86 cumulative GPA, Scheberl was an NCAA Elite 90 Award nominee and an All-WIAC First Team selection, playing a key role in UWRF's 2025 WIAC Championship and NCAA Division III National Championship run.

The program's all-time leader with 233 career PATs, Scheberl led the WIAC in 2025 with 14 field goals made and 86 PATs, totaling 128 points. His 87.5% field goal conversion rate ranked sixth nationally.

Scheberl concluded his Falcon career as the program's career leader in field goal percentage (73.7%, 24-of-33) and ranks second all-time in field goals made (24), and third all-time in scoring with 305 points.

The Division III Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division III Academic All-America® program.
