The UW-River Falls men's hockey team returns to non-conference play this weekend with a pair of road matchups in Minnesota. The Falcons will open the stretch on Friday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. in Blaine, Minn., taking on the Bethel Royals, before traveling north to Duluth to face the St. Scholastica Saints on Saturday.
The Falcons enter the weekend looking to build momentum in a non-conference stretch before beginning the second half of WIAC play this season.

THE SERIES
The Falcons hold the historical edge in the all-time series (18-5-2), winning seven of the last 10 meetings. Friday's contest marks another opportunity for the Falcons to continue to widen the gap in the long-standing non-conference series.
The Falcons and Saints share one of the longest-running series in UWRF history, dating back to 1974. UW-River Falls owns 61 wins in the all-time matchup and has played St. Scholastica to eight ties, with the series consistently producing close matches. The Falcons are 3-4-3 in the last 10 meetings, including a 5-4 win in River Falls during the 2024-25 season.
