NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The UW-River Falls track and field program wrapped up the St. Olaf Invitational & Multi Events this Saturday with a strong final day highlighted by multiple performances that moved athletes into the all-time UWRF Indoor top-10 list. The Falcons capped the two-day meet with standout efforts across both track and field events.
MENS RESULTS
The Falcons opened the day with a few personal records in the short sprints.Â
Theodore Hovde posted a PR of 7.21 in the 60-meter, finishing third overall followed by
Isaiah Juneskit in fourth (7.22),Â
Ben Johnson followed with a personal-best of 7.32. In the 200 meters, Juneski took third with a mark of 23.20 while Johnson continued his strong day with a PR of 23.85.
In the 800 meters,Â
Wyatt Johnson recorded a personal record of 2:02.36. Johnson later delivered one of the top performances of the meet, taking second in the mile with a PR of 4:23.05.
The men's 3,000 meters produced a major result for the Falcons, asÂ
Jack Richter claimed third place while posting a personal record of 8:43.80, moving into sixth all-time in program history.Â
John Fritts followed with a PR of 9:20.94, whileÂ
Cooper Smith added a personal-best 9:23.96.
In the shot put,Â
Charles Baker took third and recorded a personal record of 14.23 meters, a mark that now ranks ninth all-time in UW-River Falls program history.Â
Caleb Nyamari added a strong performance in the triple jump, recording 13.30 meters, good for 10th all-time.
WOMENS RESULTS
In the 60-meter hurdles,Â
Brianna Strehlau recorded a 9.49 mark, taking first place and posting a new personal-record. The Falcons picked up a win in the mile asÂ
Adison Wilde took first place, running a personal record of 5:11.28, a mark that now ranks seventh all-time.Â
Issabella Jeurissen added a PR of 5:28.33, whileÂ
Jalyssa Groskreutz posted a personal-best 5:31.63.Â
The women's 3,000 meters saw another Falcon victory, asÂ
Laina Viere finished first overall, posting a personal record of 10:32.20, moving her into ninth all-time in program history.
In the women's pole vault,Â
Annika Gunderson earned first place, clearing 3.60 meters.
In the shot put,Â
Madison Schaper turned in a strong performance, finishing second overall with a mark of 12.32 meters.
