THE SERIES
River Falls evened the series (since the 2009-2010 season) against UW-Stout at 17-17 with its 66-48 victory earlier this season on Jan. 7. The Falcons have won two straight in the series against the Blue Devils. In the first meeting of year, UWRF locked down the Blue Devils defensively, holding Stout to just 26.2 percent shooting from the field. The Falcons built a 20-point halftime lead and never looked back.
Emily Anderson paced the offense with 21 points, while Plonski recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Warhawks hold a 26-6 advantage in the series dating back to 2010, including a current seven-game winning streak. Earlier this season, the Falcons started strong in Whitewater before falling 68-54 on Jan. 10. UWRF led at halftime behind a 16-point first half from Buchan, but Whitewater used a hot third quarter to take control for the remainder of the matchup. The Falcons are 5-10 at home in the series and will look to defend Don Page Arena in Saturday's Senior Day finale against the nationally ranked Warhawks.
