The UW-River Falls baseball team is set for a four-game WIAC series this weekend, hosting UW-Platteville April 3-4 at First National Bank of River Falls Field.

THE SERIES
- Last year, the Falcons won one of the four games in their WIAC series against the Pioneers in Platteville, Wis.
- The Falcons won game three of the series by a score of 13-12, including home runs from Carter Klein and Max Krebs.
FALCON NOTES
- The Falcons are coming off of a walk-off winner against the University of Northwestern, with Andrew Athmann playing the hero with a two-RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning.
- Five Falcon hitters recorded multi-hit games against UNW, led by freshman Daniel Kibler, who recorded a 3-for-6 game, scoring two runs while also driving in two.
- The Falcon offense is led by John Santelman, Max Krebs, and Andrew Athmann, who have all recorded 19 hits. Krebs leads the team with nine extra base hits and 13 runs scored.
- Sophomore Tanner Hraby has been the Falcons' hottest hitter as of late, batting .520 with 13 hits in 25 at bats, including four extra base hits, four RBIs, and three runs scored in the last six games.
- The pitching staff has been led by Shaun Gavin (2-1, 4.50 ERA) and Vaughn Johnson (2-1), both logging key innings early in the season.
