ONALASKA, Wis. – The UW-River Falls women's golf team carded a team score of 332 (+44) to finish first of seven teams at the UW-La Crosse Spring Invite on Sunday, April 26 at The Golf Club at Cedar Creek.
The first place team finish is the second of the season for the Falcons, following up on the top finish at the Sept. 6-7 UW-Superior Twin Ports Collegiate.
UWRF's 44-over-par team score finished one stroke ahead of the host Eagles to claim first place, led by freshman
Megan Bermejo's round of 80 (+8) to tie for second among 39 golfers.
Along with Bermejo,
Martha Effertz,
Lily Sullivan, and
Lauren Skov all finished with top-10 scores.
Next Sunday, May 3, the Falcons will conclude their 2026 spring schedule competing at the UW-Stout Spring Invite at Tanglewood Golf Course in Menomonie, Wis.
