MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) announced its 2026 Baseball postseason awards on Tuesday, May 12, with four Falcons represented, including First Team honors for
Tanner Hraby.
In addition to Hraby's First Team recognition,
Shaun Gavin and
Max Krebs were selected to the Honorable Mention team, and
Kaleb Zabielski was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Tanner Hraby was one of two Falcons to play in all but one game this season, starting 41 contests while leading the team with 58 hits and sharing the team lead with six home runs. Hraby recorded 19 multi-hit games, including an 11-for-23 stretch from March 30-April 5 that earned him WIAC Player of the Week honors, making him the first Falcon to receive a WIAC weekly award since the program's reinstatement and the program's first overall honoree in more than two decades. Defensively, Hraby ranked seventh in the WIAC with 94 assists while splitting time between second base and shortstop.
Shaun Gavin led the Falcon pitching staff with a 5-4 record, appearing in 11 games with eight starts. His 3.32 ERA ranked third in the WIAC, while he also finished among the league leaders in innings pitched (57), wins (5), and walks allowed (14). Gavin struck out 47 batters and tossed a pair of complete games, highlighted by a nine-inning shutout at UW-Stevens Point on April 11 in which he allowed just two hits and struck out six.
Max Krebs, now a two-time All-WIAC Honorable Mention selection, ranked third in the WIAC with 15 doubles while leading the Falcons with a .345 batting average. Krebs totaled 51 hits in 148 at bats across 38 games while adding 22 RBI, one triple, and three home runs. During the final week of the regular season, he went 12-for-15 at the plate to earn WIAC Player of the Week honors.
