Men's Swimming and Diving Competes at Luther College

Gain Experience in 142-95 Loss

The men's swimming and diving team competed against Luther College on Saturday afternoon.

Despite a strong performance Luther won the meet, 139-56.

Jake Baron (Oregon, WI, Oregon) had a strong showing in the 50 yard freestyle, placing second with a time of 23.36. Pete Brudzinski also competed in that race and finished with a time of 28.20.

Freshman Lucas Hetzel (South Milwaukee, WI, South Milwaukee) finished second in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:40.58. Hetzel Also competed in the 1000 yard freestyle and took third place with a time of 11:37.46. Isaac Milkey (Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Lincoln) swam the same race and finished with a time of 12:05.99.

The Falcon 200 yard medley team took second with a time of 1:56.72. Justin Arneson (Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Lincoln) clocked in a time of 25.91 on the last leg of the race.

David Zaske (Maple Lake, MN, Maple Lake) swam the 200 yard freestyle and captured third place with a time of 1:55.17. Zaske also finished second in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:04.23. Falcons Eric Bain (Elkhorn, WI, Elkhorn) and Brudzinski followed him with times of 1:10.75 and 1:19.81.

Tony Ring (Hastings, MN, Hastings) and Andrew Sisulak (Hartland, WI, Arrowhead) swam the 100 yard butterfly and finished with times of 1:06.37 and 1:07.95.

The Falcon 200 yard freestyle relay recorded a time of 1:38. Baron lead the way with a time of 23.66 on the first leg. Hetzel, Milkey, and Zaske all recorded times less than 25 seconds.

The Falcons will return to competition on Friday at 6 p.m. as they travel to Lawrence University.
