Men's Swimming and Diving Competes Against UW-Eau Claire

Zaske Places First in 200 Breaststroke

The Men's Swimming and Diving team hosted UW-Eau Claire on Friday night at River Falls High School. It was the Falcons first home meet against another school. The Blugolds defeated the Falcons 224-50.

David Zaske (Maple Lake, MN, Maple Lake) led the way for the Falcons with a first place finish in the 200 yard breaststroke. Zaske finished with a time of 2:21.98. Eric Bain (Elkhorn, WI, Elkhorn) and Peter Brudzinski (Oakdale, MN, Tartan) also swam the race for UWRF. Bain finished third with a time of 2:35.27 and Brudzinski finished fourth with a time of 2:52.23.

Tony Ring (Hastings, MN, Hastings) swam to a third place finish in the 200 yard fly with a time of 2:28.61. Andrew Sisulak (Hartland, WI, Arrowhead) also swam the race and fished fourth with a time of 2:46.30.

The Falcons also captured two third place finishes in relays.

Jake Baron (Oregon, WI, Oregon) led the way in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 23.19 on the final leg of the race. Isaac Milkey (Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Lincoln) began the race with a time of 29.59. Zaske and Ring clocked in at 27.78 and 27.67 as the team finished with a time of 1:48.23.

Milkey also swam a 24.43 in the 200 yard freestyle relay as they Falcons finished with a time of 1:40.47 and a third place finish in the race. Lucas Hetzel (South Milwaukee, WI, South Milwaukee) started the race with a 25.22 leg and Bain continued with a time of 25.23. Justin Arneson (Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Lincoln) completed the relay with a time of 25.59.

The Falcons will return to the pool on Saturday at 1 p.m. as they host UW-Oshkosh.
