Men's Swimming & Diving Team Hosts UWO in WIAC Matchup

Titans Top Falcons in Close Meet

The Falcon men's swimming and diving team hosted UW-Oshkosh on Saturday at River Falls High School. The Falcons swam well, but fell 122-90.
 
Isaac Milkey (Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Lincoln) and Justin Arneson (Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Lincoln) finished first and second in the 1650 yard freestyle. Milkey finished with a total time of 19:55.35 and Arneson completed the race in 21:42.25.
 
David Zaske (Maple Lake, MN, Maple Lake) finished first in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:53.77. Lucas Hetzel (South Milwaukee, WI, South Milwaukee) completed the race in 1:59.85, good enough for fourth a fourth place finish.
 
Zaske and Andrew Sisulak (Hartland, WI, Arrowhead) took second and third in the 100 yard butterfly. Zaske clocked in at 58.94 and Sisulak finished with a time of 1:06.27.
 
Jake Baron (Oregon, WI, Oregon) took home another first place finish for the Falcons in the 50 yard freestyle. Baron recorded a time of 23.41, over a minute faster than the second place finisher.
 
Baron and Arneson also swam the 100 yard freestyle and locked up second and third for the Falcons. Baron was second with a time of 52.19 and Arneson was third with a time on 57.71.
 
Hetzel swam to a second place finish in the 500 yard freestyle. Hetzel's fastest interval of the race was 28.47 and he finished with a time of 5:27.72.
 
Eric Bain was the lone diver in the men's competition as he captured nine points for a first place finish with a score of 91.95.
 
Zaske and Bain also finished second and third in the 100 yard breaststroke. Zaske took second with a time of 1:02.87 and Bain placed third with a time of 1:10.53.
 
Both Falcon relay teams placed second in their relays. The 200 yard medley team of Bain, Sisulak, Brudzinski, and Mike Schuenke (Faribault, MN, Faribault) finished with a total time of 2:03.34. Bain completed his leg the fastest, in 25.06.
 
The 200 yard freestyle team of Baron, Milkey, Hetzel and Tony Ring (Hastings, MN, Hastings) finished with a total time of 1:36.42. Baron had the fastest interval, 23.11.
 
The Falcons will now swim the Falcon Invitational on Friday, Dec. 2 at 8 a.m. The meet will be held at the University of Minnesota.
