The men's swim and dive team earned a 154-73 victory over Macalester College Friday night at a home meet at the River Falls High School.
The 400 relay team of
Isaac Milkey (Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Lincoln),
Victor Lara (Sao Paulo, Brazil),
Alexander Johnson (Schofield, WI, D. C. Everest) and
David Zaske (Maple Lake, MN, Maple Lake) got the meet started off on the right track with a first place time of 3:65.49 to earn the Falcons 11 points.
Zaske also took first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:53.66 and in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:19.82. Lara also added two more first place finishes, one in the 200 IM with a time of 2:06.94 and the other in the 100 free with a time of 51.01.
Lucas Hetzel (South Milwaukee, WI, South Milwaukee)also placed first for the Falcons in the 500 free with a time of 5:24.61.
An exciting race came in the 50 free, as
Kevin Brian (Eau Claire, WI, Memorial) edged out his opponent by .05 seconds to take first. His time was 24.71.
Andrew Treadway (Cottage Grove, MN, Park) had a strong individual performance for the Falcons as he placed first in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 19:07.75.
The 400 relay team of Treadway,
Justin Arneson (Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Lincoln),
Chris Regnier (Prescott, WI, Home Schooled) and Hetzel rounded out the Falcons first place finishes with their time of 3:43.10.
With the win, the Falcons improve to 2-2 on the season. They will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 3 as they host Lawrence University and Ripon College at home. The meet is set to get underway at 1 p.m.
