The UW-River Falls volleyball team lost in a back and forth five set match to the UW-Oshkosh Titans this evening.

The first set was the closest of the night. UWRF won it 29-27 in extra play. UWO took the second set easily 25-15 and then took the third set 25-21 over the Falcons. UWRF bounced back with a dominating 25-11 set win in the fourth. UWO was able to seal the victory with a 15-10 in the fifth set.

Jean Theis led UWRF with 10 kills and five blocks in the match. Lisa Keppers had nine kills and Hali Tasler and Nicole Mehr each had eight kills.

Brianna Muetzel put together a complete match for the Falcons with seven kills, three blocks and a team high 25 digs. Tasler added 16 digs and Lexi Pingel had 15 digs in the match.

Alyssa Anderson and Raven Klein both had strong games in the assist category. Anderson had 26 and Klein had 21 in the match.

The loss drops UWRF to 11-6 overall and 2-2 in the WIAC. UWO moves to 12-5 overall and 3-1 in the WIAC. The Falcons will play again tomorrow afternoon at home against UW-Whitewater with the match set to start at noon.
