Box Score In another back and forth game the UW-River Falls Falcons fell to the UW-Stout Blue Devils 19-18 on their last home game of the season and senior day.
The Blue Devils struck first with a Hank Kujak one yard quarterback sneak for the touchdown.
At 7:44 in the second quarter
Ryan Kusilek rolled out on a play action play and kept it himself for a 20 yard touchdown run.
Hear WRFW's Ryan Tibbitts on the call. Kusilek would stay on the field for the kicking duties and missed the extra point. He finished the game 11-25 passing with one interception and ended with seven net yards rushing and the touchdown.
With 1:16 to go in the first half senior linebacker
Zach Stuhr took an interception to the house for the pick six.
Hear WRFW's Ryan Tibbitts on the call. The Falcons would go for two and not convert giving them the 12-7 lead over Stout.
The Falcons defense forced two interceptions in the game. The other came from Kyle Kittle who had a 44 yard return on the interception.
With seconds winding down UWRF held Stout to fourth down in the red zone but accepted a holding penalty. The penalty moved Stout back to a third and goal from the 24 yard line instead of fourth and goal from the nine yard line. The next play Stout threw a 24 yard pass play caught by Brian Alvarez with just five seconds left in the half. The Blue Devils went for two and did not convert going up 13-12 after one half.
Stout scored early in the third quarter off of a Adolfo Pacheco 20 yard scamper. They would miss the extra point on the play going up 19-12 over UWRF.
Both teams would be in a deadlock throughout most of the third quarter and into the fourth. Stout had two muffed punts but landed on both and both defenses were playing strong. With 6:32 left in the fourth quarter the Falcons went for it on fourth and goal and
Jesse McKune leaped over the line out of the Maryland I-formation for the touchdown.

A late game fumble on a kickoff return gave UWRF one last chance but turned it over on downs and would go on to lose the game.
The game will be the last game played on natural grass at Ramer Field as the field will be going under renovations this offseason. Seven seniors for UWRF also played their last game at Ramer Field. The Falcons will play their final game of the season next Saturday at undefeated UW-Whitewater with kickoff set for 2 p.m.Â
