The Falcon volleyball team beat Bethany Lutheran and Hamline University by 3-0 set scores on Friday night and the two wins gives Falcon Coach Patti Ford 500 in her career.
The matches were played at the Hamline University Tournament. The Falcons have now won five matches in a row.
River Falls 3, Bethany Lutheran 0
UWRF opened with a 25-16, 25-23, 25-17 win over Bethany Lutheran. Lisa Keppers and Hali Tasler led the Falcons with nine kills each. Jean Theis and Rebecca Gasper each finished with eight kills. Lexi Pingel led UWRF with 14 digs and Tasler had had 13. The leading blocker was Keppers who finished with one solo and four assists. Alyssa Anderson led the Falcons with 19 assists and Kadie Brooks led UWRF with three aces.
River Falls 3, Hamline 0
The Falcons topped Hamline, 26-24, 25-17, 25-22. Brianna Muetzel led the Falcons with 10 kills and Theis had nine. Pingel had 16 digs and Tasler 10. Nicole Mehr led the Falcons with one solo and five assists while Keppers had five block assists. Once again Anderson led the Falcons in assists with 21.
The Falcons, now 6-1 overall, will play two more matches at the Hamline Tourney on Saturday. They face Crown at 10 a.m., and St. Catherine at noon.
