Women's Basketball Falls at Home 58-46 to Oshkosh - Video Added

The UW-River Falls women's basketball team fell 58-46 to the UW-Oshkosh Titans at home this afternoon.

The first half was all UWO led by Sarah Stecker who had 13 first half points. She finished with 22 points in the game. The Titans led at half 30-16 over the Falcons.

Tess Lueders went on a tear in the second half scoring 11 points after not scoring at all in the first half. Lueders finished 5-8 from the field and also made some big defensive plays in the second half with two blocks and two steals.

Cassy Saxton made her first career start and after struggling in the first half finished with a nice game. She scored eight points and grabbed a team high seven rebounds. The falcons got good bench production from Katie Messman who added eight points and Josie Hayes went 3-3 for seven points off of the bench.

UWRF finished 20-47 (42.6%) from the field including 2-13 (15.4%) from behind the arc and went 4-6 (66.7%)  from the free throw line. They grabbed 27 rebounds in the game.

UWRF drops to 4-15 overall and 3-8 in WIAC play on the season. They will play next at UW-La Crosse Wednesday evening with tip off set for 7 p.m. UWRF got their first win of the season the last time the two teams met winning 59-56 at home.
