Winona, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) The UW-River Falls track teams competed at St. Mary's this weekend. The Falcons had numerous top ten finished on both the men's and women's teams. Colton Sorensen started his outdoor season by breaking the school pole vault record with a jump of 16'0 breaking his own previous record of 15'7.
Men's Highlights:
- Colton Sorensen placed first and broke the school record in the Pole Vault, jumping 16'0. The previous record, which was also set by him was 15'7.
- Kyle Dorosz advanced to the 100m finals in 4th place position with a time of 11.16 and place 5th in the finals with 11.20. Freshman, Mitchell Hockbein placed 10th in the 100m with a new pr of 11.38.
- Justin Barnes and Justin Hill both personal record in the Javelin. Justin Barnes took 3rd in the event and Riley Jacobson placed 9th.
- Dominque Turner, Tix Rixxman and Justin Barnes all made finals in Long Jump, finishing 6th, 7th and 9th respectfully.Â
- Brayd Balts placed 8th in the triple jump.
- Adam Kapser placed 8th in the 200m, with 23.46 and 10th in the 400m, with 51.51.
- The men's 4x4 placed 3rd with a time of 3:27.00

Women's Highlights:
- Linsey Tolkkinen placed 1st in the 3000m, leading for most of the race with a time of 10:43.77.
- In the 1500m, freshman Katelyn Moore placed 6th, with a time of 4:59. 59. Nikki Jurik a junior placed 8th and Emmy Farago placed 9th, with a time of 5:07.00.
- Abigail Bakken, placed 6th in the hammer throw.Â
- Adyara Hanaman, freshman placed 10th in the 100m, with a time of 12.98
- Kimberly Robertson pr in the 100h.Â
- The women's 4x400m placed 6th
Looking Ahead:
The track teams will be back in action on April 7th, when they travel to compete at UW-La Crosse.
