Winona, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) The UW-River Falls track teams competed in the Saint Mary's Open in Winona, Minn. over the weekend. Emmy Farago won the 3,000 meter steeplechase and freshamn Adyara Hanaman scored a pair of top 10 finishes to lead the women's team. Justin Barnes led the men's team, finishing 5th in the high jump and 7th in the javelin throw, leading the men's team that collected 13 top 10 finishes on the day.
Women's Highlights:
- Freshman Adyara Hanaman finished 8th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.95 seconds. Hanaman also finished 8th in the 200 meter dash as well.
- Freshann Emma Deutsch scored a top 10 finish in the 800 meter run, finishing 9th with a time of 2:34.32.
- Katelyn Moore and Emily Klatt scored a pair of top 10 finishes in the 1500 meter run, when they finished 6th and 7th respectively.
- Emmy Farago won the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 12:19.35.
- Sophomore Abigail Bakken finished 8th in the Hammer throw with a throw of 39,89 meters and 13th in the javelin with a throw of 24.13 meters.
Men's Highlights:
- Adam Kasper took 3rd in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:58.53. Teammate Jean Lain finished just behind Kasper in 6th with a time of 1:59.35.
- Adam Jacobi finished 4th in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 16:59.62.
- Freshman Leo Pittsley finished 10th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.99.
- Reid Schwechler finished 6th in the 3,000 meter Steeplechase with a time of 10:48.68 and teammate Beau Clemmensen finished just behind him in 7th with a time of 11:35.69.
- Justin Barnes finished 5th in the high jump with a jump of 1.85 meter and 7th in the Javelin throw with a throw of 47.36 meters.
- Colton Sorensen finished 4th in the pole vault with a jump of 4.66 meters. Cody Hawkins and Riley Jacobson both finished in the top 10 in the pole vault finishing 9th and 10th respectively.
- Freshman Dominique Turner finished 7th in the Long jump just ahead of teammate Tim Rixman who finished in 9th.

The track teams will be back in action when they host the WIAC Outdoor Championship meet at Ramer Field on Friday May 4th and Saturday May 5th.
