La Crosse, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) - The men's and women's track and field teams participated at the Phil Esten Challenge at UW-La Crosse on Friday afternoon.
Women's Highlights
- Sophomore Allison Stewart competed in the 100 Meter Dash and finished 22nd overall with a time of 13.30. She qualified with a time of 13.04. Freshman Adrianna Dietrich also competed in the qualifiers
- Stewart and Dietrich also competed in the 200 Meter Dash.
- Briana Jones and Miriam Zarling, both freshman, competed in the 800 Meter Run and finished with a time of 2:47.63 and 2:51.06 respectively.
- Senior Linsey Tolkkinen finished 1st overall in the 10,000 Meter Run with a time of 35:57.21, bringing in 10 points for the Falcons.
- Sophomore Kimberly Robertson ran in the 100 Meter Hurdle event and finished 13th overall, with a time of 15.78.
- Robertson also competed in teh Pole Vault and finished 3rd overall with a final vault of 3.41m.
- Dietrich participated in the Long Jump and finished with a jump of 4.67m.
- Freshman Bryanne Brugger participated in the Shot Put and finished with a distance of 8.36m.
- Brugger, along with freshman Leanna Schneider, participated in the discuss throw, finishing with distances of 23.50m and 22.06m respectively.
- Freshman Abigail Bakken competed in the Hammer Throw and finished iwth a distance of 39.56m. Brugger also competed in the event and ended with a distance of 23.48m.
- The women's team finished 11th overall.
Men's Highlights
- Freshman Andre Malinas participated in the 100 Meter Dash and finished 26th overall with a time of 11.81.
- Kaspar finished 20th overall in the 800 Meter Run, with a finishing time of 1:59.27. Freshman Zach Jacoby also participated and ended with a time of 2:20.22.
- Junior Alan Hehr finished 10th overall in the 110 Meter Hurdles with a time of 16.05.
- Her also finished 11th overall in the 400 Meter Hurdles with a time of 1:00.50.
- The Falcons 4x400 Meter Relay team, comprised of Kaspar, Jayden Lister (freshman), Malinis, and Caleb Venke finished 11th overall with a time of 3:35.06.
- Junioe Cody Hawkins and sophomore Dominique Turner competed in the Pole Vault and finished with vaults of 3.96m and 3.66m respectively.
- Turner also participated in the Long Jump and finished with a jump of 6.28m. Sophomore Brady Balts also competed in the even and ended with a jump of 5.51m.
- Sophomore Peter Place competed in the Hammer Throw and finished with final distance of 43.33m.
- Venke finished 11th overall in the Javelin Throw with a final toss of 41.82m. Junior Justin Hill alsom competed in the event and ended with a 25.83m throw.

The Falcons will be traveling to the University of Minnesota on Wednesday, April 24.
