NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The UW-River Falls men's basketball team earned a 58-57 nonconference road win at St. Olaf College Tuesday evening.
The Falcons snap a four-game losing streak to improve to 4-6 overall.
Despite shooting under 40 percent on the night, the Falcons shot 42.3 percent (11-for-26) in the second half, and hung on late to come home with the win. UWRF held a 38-29 edge in rebounds, and led 32-22 in the paint and 17-5 in second-chance points.

Mason Anderson triple gave the Falcons their first lead of the game at 8-7 early on, but the Oles responded with a 16-4 run to claim a double-digit advantage and the lead for the remainder of the first half, leading 29-26 at the break.
UWRF opened the second half four consecutive made field goals to claim back a lead, and a
Logan Jedwabny three-pointer extended the Falcons' lead to 46-35 with 12 minutes left in regulation.
St. Olaf rallied and took back a one-point lead at 54-53 with just under two minutes left, and
Rodrick Payne answered with a good layup and free throw to earn back the lead. Payne tacked on a couple more free throws in the next minute, enough to preserve the win.
Payne led UWRF with 19 points, shooting 6-of-9 from the field and 7-7 at the free throw line. Jedwabny added 10 points and four steals, while
Marshall Holland hauled in a team-high eight rebounds.
The Falcons return to Page Arena on Saturday to host Hamline University.
