RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls men's basketball team earned a 73-55 win over the College of St. Scholastica Friday at Page Arena during its final game of the 2022 calendar year.
UWRF improves to 6-7 overall while going 2-0 during the Radisson Holiday Classic, also defeating Northland College yesterday.
The Falcons held a 44-28 edge in rebounds and scored 14 points off CSS turnovers, recording a season-high 11 steals.
12 Falcons were in the scoring column, led by
Mason Anderson's 13 points and four steals.
Logan Jedwabny followed with 10 points, while
Jack Leifker had a team-high seven rebounds.
UWRF shot 17-of-30 from the field in the first half and led by as many as 14 with a
Rodrick Payne jumper late in the first stanza. The Falcons didn't surrender their double-digit advantage for the remainder of regulation while limiting the Saints to 25 percent shooting numbers in the final 20 minutes.
The Falcons head back into WIAC play next Wednesday, Jan. 4 at UW-Stout.
