RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls softball team opened its six-game homestand Wednesday afternoon at Perkins Stadium with a pair of losses against UW-Stevens Point.
The Falcons, now 14-16 overall and 2-6 during WIAC competition, continue conference play this weekend at home against UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater.

A hot start from the Pointers put the game out of reach for the Falcons, who took trailed 10-1 after three innings.

Lindsey Duggan struggled in the pitcher's circle, freshman
Emily Crowe pitched well in relief, tossing 4.1 innings while allowing one earned run along with four strikeouts.
The Falcons made things interesting, scoring one in the fifth and another three in the sixth from a
Kelly Aultman three-run homer, her team-leading fifth round-tripper of the season.
UWRF out-hit UWSP 11-10, including three hits from Aultman and two each from
Jewel Waupekenay and
Eleanor Hoge.
UW-River Falls 8, UW-Stevens Point 1
After three scoreless innings, the Pointers opened the game's scoring in the fourth, taking a 3-0 lead and added later to secure the win.
Down six runs after five and a half innings, UWRF got on the board with an Aultman RBI single in the bottom of the sixth.
The Pointers scored another pair in the seventh and shut the door in the bottom half for the sweep.
Emily Crowe got the start in the pitcher's circle and went six innings and took the loss.
