RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls softball team opened its six-game homestand Wednesday afternoon at Perkins Stadium with a pair of losses against UW-Stevens Point.

A hot start from the Pointers put the game out of reach for the Falcons, who took trailed 10-1 after three innings.

After UWRF's Maggie Wallin and Lindsey Duggan struggled in the pitcher's circle, freshman Emily Crowe pitched well in relief, tossing 4.1 innings while allowing one earned run along with four strikeouts.

The Falcons made things interesting, scoring one in the fifth and another three in the sixth from a Kelly Aultman three-run homer, her team-leading fifth round-tripper of the season.

UWRF out-hit UWSP 11-10, including three hits from Aultman and two each from Jewel Waupekenay and Eleanor Hoge.
