NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The UW-River Falls men's and women's track & field teams competed at the St. Olaf Tostrud Classic on Saturday during its final meet before the indoor conference championships.
The Falcons combined for six top finishes while a trio of Falcons cracked the UWRF top-10 lists.
On the men's side,
Trever Jensen,
Sam Peters,
Logan Munson, and
Joe Stauffer all earned first place marks. Jensen won the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.20,
Sam Peters won the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:26.9 for an indoor personal record, and
Joe Stauffer won the pole vault at 4.55 meters.
Munson's 800-meter run time of 1:55.10 was an indoor personal best and good for third-best all-time at UWRF. Additionally,
Jacob Balcome's 60-meter hurdle time of 9.01 cracked the UWRF top-10 list at eighth.
The women were led by
Annika Gunderson's season-best pole vault mark of 3.55 meters, good for first place. In addition,
Katie Haase,
Haylie Rasmussen,
Brenna Schwartz, and
Ali Clifford each had top-three finishes in their respective events.
Haase finished third in the weight throw with a PR of 14.65 meters, seventh best all-time at UWRF.
The Falcons will travel to Whitewater, Wis., next weekend, Feb. 23-24 to compete at the WIAC Indoor Championships.
