EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The UW-River Falls men's basketball team fell 83-73 Wednesday night at UW-Eau Claire.

UWEC held the Falcons to just a 4-of-20 mark from three-point range while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field and holding a 43-33 edge in rebounds over UWRF.Â
The home team jumped out to an early 7-0 lead but minutes later a
Jake Reeck jumper gave UWRF its first lead of the game at 12-11. However, it was the Falcons only lead of the game as the Blugolds led by as many as 10 late in the first half and outscored UWRF 41-39 in the final 20 minutes to secure the win.Â
Trailing by eight at halftime, UWRFÂ trimmed the UWEC lead to two points on several occasions before the home team ran away late.Â

UWRF (12-10, 6-5 WIAC) heads to UW-Oshkosh on Saturday.
