RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The Falcons fell short in Saturday's home and WIAC opener to UW-Platteville at Perkins Field.
UWRF's senior class of 2024 was honored at the end of the game for senior day. The Falcon seniors include
Johanna Breyen,
Jewel Waupekenay,
Hannah Richards, and
Maggie Wallin.
The Falcons now 10-10, 0-2 WIAC return to play on Wednesday, April 15 for a WIAC doubleheader at UW-Stout.

It was a pitching battle for the first four innings, before UWP scored the eventual game winining run in the fifth.
The UWRF bats were limited to just five hits and were held scoreless.
Maggie Wallin pitched a complete game for the Falcons and had nine strikeouts.
Maddie Koch led the Falcons with two hits.
UW-River Falls 0, UW-Platteville 10 (6 inn.)
Game two was all Pioneers, who scored 10 runs off of 12 hits and held the Falcons scoreless and just four hits.
The Falcons had no answers and
Emily Crowe suffered the loss in the pitcher's circle, with
Brooklyn VanGruensven coming in for relief in the third.
Kayla Dolan led the Falcons with 2 hits.
The game was ended after the sixth due to the eight run rule.
