HASTINGS, Minn. - The UW-River Falls women's golf team shot a 36-hole team score of 692 to finished tied for seventh of 11 teams April 13-14 at the Gustavus Spring Invite at Emerald Greens Golf Course.
Through the first round on Saturday afternoon, the Falcons sat in ninth place of 11 teams while turning in a team score of 360.
Sydney Burgess led the way during round one with an 87. On day two on Sunday morning, the Falcons greatly improved their team score, dropping 28 strokes for a season-low score of 332 to finish tied for seventh place. UWRF's round two score was the fifth lowest among all teams.
Bethel University took home the team title, finishing 61-over-par.
After carding a 91 on Saturday,
Kate Garbow jumped up 11 spots on the individual leaderboard with a career-low score of 79 to finish tied for 25th with teammate
Sydney Burgess.Â
